CloudPassage Halo — 15 March 2017
Hotfix Release Notes
The 15 March 2017 hotfix release of CloudPassage® Halo® includes several bug fixes and usability improvements.
Restarted agents no longer appearing in portal as deactivated
Previously, in rare cases agent restarts could cause those agents to be marked as "Deactivated" in the Halo portal. The issue has been corrected.
Change in functionality for CSM home-directory checks
Previously, configuration rule checks that scan home directories (such as "Home directory files owned by correct user") did not function well for users whose home directory was set to "/" (root). To address this issue, those checks have been modified so that a home directory of "/" is not scanned. Most such accounts are system accounts for which home-directory checks may not be needed.
Corrected functioning of bulk issue resolution through multi-select
Previously, using multi-select in the Halo portal to select multiple issues and then clicking "Resolve" to resolve them all at once resulted in resolving only the first-checked issue. The issue-resolution functioning has been corrected to fully support multi-select.
Improved export of servers to CSV format
The Halo portal supports export of an account's server inventory in CSV (comma-separated value) format. Previously, exporting a large number of servers and including all available columns for each server could cause the export process to hang. The process has been adjusted and now supports export of larger inventories without problem.
Corrected portal refresh issue that triggered "Request has been terminated" errors
Previously, refreshing the Halo portal screen or navigating from one screen to another functioned correctly, but could occasionally result in error messages appearing in onscreen banners displaying text that included "Request has been terminated...". The errors were determined to be benign and wholly internal to Halo, so they are no longer surfaced and displayed to Halo users.
Corrected portal navigation issue that triggered "Wrong format" errors
Previously, navigating in the Halo portal to the "Accounts" screen and on through the servers of that account could result in error messages appearing in onscreen banners displaying the text "API Error: Wrong format:". The internal functioning of Halo has been adjusted to avoid generating these errors.
