CloudPassage Halo — 15 May 2017
Hotfix Release Notes
The 15 May 2017 hotfix release of CloudPassage® Halo® includes greater flexibility for FIM target pathnames, restoration of missing information involving API keys and issue details, and a variety of workflow and display improvements to the Halo portal.
Windows FIM target paths now support multiple dots (periods)
Previously, paths to targets in a Windows file integrity policy did not support file or directory names with two or more dots (as in
myapp.exe.config). That issue has been fixed, and multiple dots between any pair of slashes are now supported.
API keys not showing in Firefox
Previously, users of Firefox 52.0.1 (64-bit) may have encountered missing API keys when viewing a group’s settings. This issue has been resolved.
Halo prevents configuration scans from running when no policy is assigned
Previously, deleting all configuration policies assigned to a server group did not prevent scans from running, meaning that time could be wasted running scans that were empty of results. Halo now verifies that a configuration policy is assigned to a group before running a configuration scan on a server in that group.
No issue details in UI
Some customers may have encountered a Resolved Issue Details sidebar that did not have an issue details description. This error has been fixed.
Renamed column in OSs view
Previously, the OSs view had a column titled “OS Name.” This title has been changed to “OS Distribution” to more accurately reflect the column’s contents.
Corrected grammatical error in Agent Status
Previously, there was a grammatical error in the Agent Status field of the server profile panel, which read “Active for # days ago.” This has been corrected and now reads “Active for # days.”
Mark As Resolved command now properly disabled
Previously, when a user clicked the Edit menu in the Issues view, the Mark as Resolved option was enabled even when no issues were selected. This error has been fixed and now the Mark as Resolved menu item only appears when issues are selected.
View Missing Files error in FIM scans
Previously, when a user viewed FIM scan results that included a large number of results of type "missing [file]", and if the user clicked Show More to view additional scan results, error messages could appear in place of the additional results. That problem has been fixed.
