What happens to my servers if the Halo Grid is unavailable?

The Halo Grid is implemented as a high-availability SaaS application. In the event that a Halo Daemon cannot communicate with the Halo Grid, the server and daemon will continue to operate, but the Halo Daemon will not be able to get policy updates etc. from the grid. Once connectivity returns, all updates and commands will have been queued up by the grid and will be applied.

We're considering putting a "failsafe" mode into the daemon and/or a basic set of "offline" security functions, but this is TBD. Love to hear your thoughts.
